Build the range, not just one carton

Beauty and personal-care projects often contain several products, sizes or launch variants. Start by identifying which elements must stay consistent across the range and which can change by SKU. A shared hierarchy for logos, product names, variants and required information makes the production brief easier to control.

Paper boxes can form the everyday retail layer. Paper tubes can create a different presentation format where a cylindrical pack suits the product and brand. Paper bags can extend the same visual system into retail handover or gifting. Each format still needs its own structural review.

Decide what the customer should see

Clear packaging can expose the product or create contrast with printed paper. It is available for sampling and production. Material, thickness, print method, crease behavior, gluing and compliance requirements are confirmed for the individual project.

Do not select a transparent format from appearance alone. The product weight, scratch sensitivity, assembly method, artwork coverage and retail handling can change the appropriate route.

Match finishes to the full construction

Offset printing, screen printing, hot foil, lamination and gluing are available processes. Their suitability depends on the chosen stock, structure, fold lines and graphics. A finish should be reviewed on the intended construction rather than approved as an isolated swatch.

Start with a controlled brief

A practical first brief can focus on one representative SKU while showing the planned range. Include future sizes and variants so the structure and artwork system are not designed into a corner. Sampling scope, quantity and production timing are then quoted from the agreed specification.
